Can global warming bring more dust?

چکیده
Abstract In the late twentieth century, global mean surface air temperature especially on land is continuously warming. Our analyses show that of dust increased since 1980, using Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis version 2 for Research and Applications (MERRA-2) reanalysis data. This variation mainly contributed by increase outside core areas (i.e. high mass concentration region). The causes to result in variations are explored. areas, wind primary driving factor dust, both which no remarkable trends or decrease 1980. arid semi-arid North Middle Asia, warming impact causing increase. An accompanied enhancement atmospheric instability can trigger more upward motion bring dust. All 9 Earth System Models (ESMs) Aerosol Chemistry Model Intercomparison Project (AerChemMIP) reproduce reasonable spatial distribution seasonal cycle present day. But only a few models such as BCC-ESM1 GFDL-ESM4 simulate increasing trend similar MERRA-2. While middle latitudes Eurasian continent, presented most ESMs.

How much more rain will global warming bring?
Climate models and satellite observations both indicate that the total amount of water in the atmosphere will increase at a rate of 7% per kelvin of surface warming. However, the climate models predict that global precipitation will increase at a much slower rate of 1 to 3% per kelvin. A recent analysis of satellite observations does not support this prediction of a muted response of precipitat...
متن کاملGlobal Warming Will Bring New Fungal Diseases for Mammals
Fungi are major pathogens of plants, other fungi, rotifers, insects, and amphibians, but relatively few cause disease in mammals. Fungi became important human pathogens only in the late 20th century, primarily in hosts with impaired immunity as a consequence of medical interventions or HIV infection. The relatively high resistance of mammals has been attributed to a combination of a complex imm...

When William Shakespeare took a breath, 280 molecules out of every million entering his lungs were carbon dioxide. Each time you draw breath today, 380 molecules per million are carbon dioxide. That portion climbs about two molecules every year. No one knows the exact consequences of this upsurge in the atmosphere’s carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration nor the effects that lie ahead as more and m...

Two global coupled climate models show that even if the concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere had been stabilized in the year 2000, we are already committed to further global warming of about another half degree and an additional 320% sea level rise caused by thermal expansion by the end of the 21st century. Projected weakening of the meridional overturning circulation in the Nor...
متن کاملCan solar variability explain global warming since 1970?
[1] The magnitude of the Sun’s influence on climate has been a subject of intense debate. Estimates of this magnitude are generally based on assumptions regarding the forcing due to solar irradiance variations and climate modeling. This approach suffers from uncertainties that are difficult to estimate. Such uncertainties are introduced because the employed models may not include important but ...
